Aerocomp materials
Fiberglass, Aramid (Kevlar), Carbon Fiber (Graphite) and
to a lesser extent Boron, Spectra, Quartz
are the most commonly used reinforcing
materials. The style and manner of application during manufacture defines the characteristics
of the final product. The available styles from uni/bi-directional tapes and broad
goods to fiber reinforced bulk moulding compounds, while resin type matrix systems
also range in cure temperatures and service temperatures.
Designs
can also be tailored to the method of manufacture and the cost of materials. |
